Once a final proof has been approved, the hard work is done and it's time to make the Giclee Prints. Click the links in the menu on the left to find out about different types of paper, finishing options and how to care for your Giclee Prints. If you wish to produce black and white 'photographic' prints, we have information here. |

When printing Giclees in black and white, we use a purpose-designed printer driver. This enables us to balance the different black ink densities and to mix them with low-saturation colour inks to produce neutral, 'warm' or 'cool' printing tones.
We also have Fine Art Pearl and PhotoRag Pearl, papers that emulate traditional black and white paper (also great for colour images) and deliver a D-Max comparable to Agfa Record Rapid.
B&W Image File Requirements:
- 8-bit or 16-bit Grayscale, Gamma 2.2
- up to 360 PPI at the final print size (240 PPI is fine for most images)
- don't interpolate the image to get it up to the right resolution - we can probably do it better
- file must be in TIFF format (uncompressed or LZW)
- if supplying on CD-ROM, use ISO Mode 1 or Mode 2 (not Apple Mac's native format or UDF)
